From the courtroom to a wider public-service chapter

Pelumi Olajengbesi has spent much of his professional life in law, advocacy and public commentary. By 2026, that profile had widened considerably as he became one of the visible communication figures around Osun politics and prepared for his own 2027 House of Representatives contest.

The public-service chapter builds on an earlier record of student leadership, legal practice and rights-focused advocacy. Rather than presenting politics as a sudden departure from his professional life, his recent messaging has linked representation to the same questions of responsibility, institutions and access that shaped his legal career.

During the 2026 Osun governorship campaign he served as Spokesperson of the Imole Campaign Council, a role that placed him in the middle of rapid-response communication, policy argument, election-day messaging and the difficult post-election conversation about reconciliation and accountability.

Ahead of the 2027 general election, he is the Accord candidate for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency. His campaign increasingly operates under the ITURA 2027 identity and is preparing the Ijesa North Contract as a dedicated manifesto and development agenda for the constituency.

The transition also brings his Ijebu-Jesa roots into sharper focus. A federal constituency campaign is ultimately local, and the case he is making will be tested community by community across both Oriade and Obokun rather than by national visibility alone.

The months ahead will therefore test whether legal experience, public advocacy, statewide campaign communication and long-running grassroots relationships can be translated into an enduring constituency mandate.
