Olajengbesi emerges as Accord candidate for Oriade/Obokun

In May 2026, Pelumi Olajengbesi emerged as Accord’s candidate for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election.

The candidacy formalised a political journey that had already included earlier electoral participation in Osun State, years of public-interest advocacy and a growing role in grassroots organisation around Governor Ademola Adeleke’s political movement.

Olajengbesi is from Ijebu-Jesa in Oriade Local Government Area. That connection gives the race a personal dimension, but the mandate he is seeking spans communities across both Oriade and Obokun and therefore requires a constituency-wide rather than hometown-only approach.

After receiving the Accord ticket, his public language increasingly focused on effective representation, generational renewal and a closer relationship between elected office and the communities it is meant to serve.

The ticket also arrived shortly after he stepped aside from active leadership at Law Corridor as his political engagements intensified. Together, those developments made clear that the 2027 project had become a central rather than peripheral part of his public life.

Since then, the campaign identity has evolved into ITURA 2027, with volunteer mobilisation, constituency engagement and the forthcoming Ijesa North Contract beginning to give the candidacy a more organised public structure.
